Job Description

GraphScience is looking for Senior PHP Developer that can contribute to the design and implementation of our internal tools. You will be part of a high impact engineering team that is valued in the organization. You’ll be building data access layers, developing a proprietary MVC framework,working with Facebook’s API and rolling out key features for our internal tools. You are expected to work independently but also collaborate with Senior Ad Operations Manager and Technical Product Managers to ensure timely feature releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a LAMP stack environment to design, develop and QA internal web applications
  • Drive weekly PHP implementation of core algorithms to ensure product innovation and optimization
  • Integrate back-end services using Hadoop, map reduce and Hive with PHP/Javascript based front end needs
  • Work with the team to manage, optimize and customize our internal web application
  • Work directly within the Facebook Ads API to ensure timely and accurate data flow for current running campaigns
  • A Senior PHP Developer will be trained and primed to eventually lead a team of engineers as GraphScience science grows

Requirements:

  • Strong communication, and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction and knowledge transfer to teammates and other departments within the company
  • A high task load is expected. You should be able to work within tight deadlines while exhibiting exemplary time management and task prioritization
  • Expert with front-end scripting including: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX
  • Experience in building and administering applications on AWS using EC2, RDS, S3 and similar tools
  • Hands-on experience with web application architecture and relational database design
  • Strong experience with the LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Professional Web application development experience in building data-driven applications that’s sustainable and scalable
  • Positive attitude and professionalism in the workplace as well as great sense of humor is always appreciated
  • Experience with Facebook Open Graph API is a HUGE plus
  • Bachelors degree and/or 7+ years software development experience or equivalent, including Object Oriented design and PHP Development

Job Description

GraphScience is looking for a Senior Director of Engineering to help shape and deliver on the full potential of the GraphScience's vision. The leader of the Engineering organization must have the ability to attract and recruit the best talent and have the technical expertise to lead a small and growing team to build a best-in-class, scalable advertising platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership for the design, development, QA and release of GraphScience's advertising suite
  • Lead an engineering team with a culture of innovation and quality
  • Establish consistent engineering processes, coordinate software releases, and provide guidance on best practices to scale a large enterprise product
  • Recruit and mentor the best engineering talent; provide leadership and motivation to continue to attract the best engineers
  • Lead architecture design and technology innovation to deliver on the company's product roadmap
  • Set the technical direction for the team, drive the evolution of the ad platform, and take a hands-on approach to managing the entire software development lifecycle
  • Work closely with Product, Sales, Ad Operations and other groups to define the strategy and operational scale to succeed

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years experience in building large-scale enterprise software or advertising platforms
  • Expertise in big data initiatives a plus
  • Proven track record in delivering releases on-time and within budget for aggressive product and market growth
  • Experience in directly managing small and large teams
  • Hands-on experience in rolling out Agile development processes
  • BS or Masters Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

You will be responsible for recruiting and mentoring a team to define new optimization techniques to deliver the best results on the Facebook platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships throughout the lifecycle of their spend
  • Lead an ad ops team with a culture of innovation and quality
  • Establish consistent campaign management processes, develop tools and processes to manage the customer experience, and provide a point of escalation for customer needs
  • Recruit and mentor the best talent; provide leadership and motivation to demonstrate career development opportunities for the team
  • Interface directly with Sales, Product and other teams to define RFP process, campaign deliverables, and client insights to help deliver a best-in-class advertising experience
  • Interface with Finance, client billing, and partner credit organizations to manage budgets, credit exposure, and support financial metrics for success

Requirements:

  • 6+ years industry experience in online advertising
  • 2+ years experience managing & scaling ad operations teams

  • Create use cases, UI wireframes, and detailed product requirementsdocuments that clearly articulate product functionality to Engineering and QAteams.
  • Work closely with the executive management, Engineering, AdOperations, Sales and other teams to collect customer requirements, defineproduct functionality, and prioritize roadmap rollouts.
  • Conduct competitive analyses, gather customer input and marketresearch to continuously drive GraphScience's innovation in social mediaadvertising.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of product management experience in online advertising, oranalytics space.
  • Strong quant with a passion for statistical analysis, segmentation,attribution analysis.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong team player, self-motivated, and effective multi-tasker.
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience with internal tools development.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools ie. Omniture, Webtrends, Google analytics.
